12 Week Summer Body Challenge
Happy Monday! Can you believe that we are under 12 weeks until summer officially starts? Only a few weeks ago we were talking turkeys and Christmas parties. Where has the time gone? So i've used this as an incentive to some of my clients in my classes and Personal Training clients - How much can you push yourself in 12 weeks to really change your body? I have thrown my own hat into the ring - I'm up for the challenge. 12 weeks or 3 months to really change your body. What can be achieved in that time...?
You could:
- Drop a dres size.. or 2
- Lose up to 2 stone (Safely by 2lb a week)
- Lose upto 5% body fat
- Add a shed load of lean muscle to your frame
My personal goals aren't to drop a dress size, as I don't wear a dress - not all of the time anyway! But I want to lose at least 5% body fat, really show my abs and increase my muscle density and strength.
Why 12 Weeks?
It's (more or less) now just 12 weeks until summer. It's a good short-term, achieveable goal that anyone can take part in. You can really change your body and your lifestyle in 12 weeks or less just by making a few changes to your lifestyle and exercise routine.
My guys are training as much or as little as they wish - of course, the more they exercise, the more chance they get to their goal and win some great prizes!
They will be weighed in every 4 weeks (Week 1, 4, 8 and the final session, week 12) - There's friendly competition and banter amongst the group and clients, which is great to see. I have never seen my clients in the classes and my PT clients so focused on a short-term goal.
Of course it will be very hard work and some sacrifices to do this - I'm giving everyone as much support and help they need during these 12 Weeks.
I just can't wait to see their bodies (and mine) transform!!
I'm going to be (hopefully) posting progression pictures of myself during the next few weeks to keep you upto date with the progress..
While of of this is going on, i'm also in the middle of training for the Swansea Half Marathon in June (Which will of course help me with getting to my Summer Body goal!
